Glenmuir Alumni Association - New York Chapter
New York chapter In 1973, Mr. Eli Sampson, the then President of “The Glenmuir High School Parent Teachers Association, made a visit to New York. At his behest the New York Chapter of the Glenmuir High School Alumni Association was formed.

Our first meeting was held on a Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn, New York at the residence of Shirley Vickers. Present at this meeting were Yohan Williams, Shirley Vickers, Marie Richards, Winsome Richards, and Richard Meikle.

At this first meeting Yohan Williams was elected to be the president of the group and hence began the task of laying the foundation for what has kept this Association going.

The very first assistance to the school by the newly formed association was in the form of text books and other reading material for the Library. Through the hard work and dedication of Yohan Williams, several boxes of books primarily acquired from Stevens Institute of Technology were shipped to Glenmuir.
